Posted February 11, 2020 09:15:31In the wake of the tragic death of one of its trainees, the Western Australian Government has announced it will offer trainees up to five years of training in the use of CCD systems to improve their communications skills.
The State Government has said trainees will be trained by trained CCAEs to identify, monitor and manage the effects of the CCDs, while also learning about CCAAs capabilities and regulatory issues.
It has also pledged to build a CCAES Training Centre in the state’s north-east, in conjunction with the CCA Technologies Australia.
It said trainee training will be taught by trained CAEs, which will also include trainees who will have been involved in other training and certification courses.
The Government said it would provide a range of training courses across the State, with the primary focus on training the next generation of CCA employees and its customers, including those in the telecommunications and infrastructure industries.
The announcement comes just weeks after the State Government released its first annual report on the state of its CCA industries, which it said demonstrated the State had been in good health for the past two years.
